The area that Michael`s practice is located in began
life as part
of a Saxon farm. Over hundreds of years, the area remained
rural surrounded by farms and orchards. In the 19th century, it
began to take on some of its urban appearance with the arrival of
the railways which had a dramatic effect on the locality.
As London swallowed the old Willesden Parish, it lost its rurality with
factories replacing farms and woodland.
From World War One onwards, the area quickly became part of the
sprawling, London conurbation.

Some images are not displaying at the moment - apologies for that! When you come out of Neasden Underground station - turn right and go down Neasden Lane until you come to a large round-about. You will pass a garage (Texaco) and an Old Church (St. Mary`s) on your right. The church is on a corner near this large round-about. St. Mary's is a beautiful
old historic
church. It is thought to be pre-Norman and date from the late
930s
AD. It is still a functional place of worship and would look more in
keeping with being in a countryside village than an inner city suburb.
Swing around
here to your right onto Church Road. This is a busy main road which looks like a dual carriageway. Walk up this road a while to the second set of traffic lights and cross over to the row of shops at the other side - keeping to your right with the shops on your left-hand side. You will come to an internet cafe on a corner and the main Post Office on the other corner of a road to your left which is Curzon Crescent. |
![]() |
Walk up here - on your right, you will pass a small primary school. Walk to the end of this road where you will come to a fire-gate. Go beyond this gate and turn first right (this is Leopold Road). There are three houses here on your left (the last one is a newly built one) and then a pedestrian path (Church Path) before a row of shops. The last two houses here on your left have high wooden fencing in front of them. |
![]() |
Turn left into this pedestrian path after this house and before the row of shops and I am located just up a few yards here on your right. (the only house on the path) at the back of the first building on your right in the row of shops. |

You will notice that this building has a large mosaic
wall
running
down the side of it running back along the right-hand side of the path.
The mosaic wall was designed and constructed by multi-media artist Jim
Anderson. His
work has been exhibited internationally
and he has won two major awards in exhibitions in the U.K.
The path (Church Path) is in fact a Ley Line for those that are
interested. This
first building on the corner is the `Samaritans` main office and
drop-in centre for the Brent area. |
|
|
Where I am located is a large beautiful detached
Victorian Carriage House on the
path,
painted black
and cream at the end of the mosaic wall (behind the Samaritans
building) and you`ll notice ivy near my front
double gates and a flag pole inside the gates. I fly flags of all the
Anglo-Celtic nations in support of culture and heritage. The building was bulit in the latter part of the 19th century and was the stopping / resting place between Central London and Harrow. It still has many of its original features including an external spiral stairs which is more than a practical staircase, it is also an elegant piece of furniture. Today, some say it looks like a `cottagy` building, a Mews building or Spanish looking dwelling while others say it looks like an Embassy. |
| Come into the cobbled garden through the wrought-iron gates and up the black spiral staircase to the front door. | |
| The wrought-iron
gates will
probably be locked as they are `security gates` so please use the
`Audible
Intercom` located on the wall at the right-hand side of the gates. At night time the face of the premises is floodlit in `blue` if I am expecting clients. Tel: 020 8453 0426 / 0845 65 88 22 0 |

When you get off the train at Willesden Junction Railway
Station,
come
out of the station onto Station Approach.
At the end of this short road - do a right onto Station Road and cross
over this road keeping right and proceed down Station Road passing a
Main
Postal Sorting Office on your left.
Carry on along this road (Station Road) to a set of traffic-lights.
Take a left at these traffic-lights where you will notice on your left
a Magistrates Court (Willesden County Court) on the corner. With your
back
to the main entrance of the Magistrates
Court which is situated at the top of a flight of broad steps - looking
straight across the road, you will notice a church with Nicholl Road
going
down past this church on the left-hand side. Proceed down Nicholl Road.
Near the end of Nicholl Road there is another church on your right-hand
side. Nicholl Road takes you onto Craven Park Road (a busy main road).
Cross this road and head towards the Tool Shop (A.Z. Tools) bearing
left. This Tool Shop is on the left-hand corner of St. Thomas Road.
Proceed down the hill (St. Thomas Road) which brings you onto
Fortunegate
Road.
Bearing right - follow the hill down and then go straight ahead onto
Glynfield Road. Leopold Road (where I am situated) is then your second
turning on your right after Redfern Road.
Walk down Leopold Road on the right-hand side until you get to the
end of the row of shops which starts towards the opposite end of the
road.
Turn right into the pedestrian path at the end of this row of shops
and I am located just up a few yards here on your right. (the only
house
on the path) at the back of the end building in the row of shops.
You will notice that this building has a large mosaic wall running
down the side of it running back along the right-hand side of the path.
The path (Church Path) is in fact a Ley Line for those that are
interested. This

others say it looks like an Embassy.
Come into the cobbled yard through the wrought-iron gates and up the
black spiral staircase to the front door. If the wrought-iron gates are
locked as they are `security gates` and
often are locked and you cannot open them by pushing the opening gate,
please use the `Audible Intercom` located on the wall at the right-hand
side of the gates.
