Reiki is an ancient healing art with its origins in early Christianity and Tibetan Buddhism. Reiki (pronounced ray - key)- - - Rei means "Universal" and refers to the spiritual dimension of the soul. Ki means "The vital life force energy that flows through all living things." When combined, it's meaning is "Universal Life Force Energy." A laying-on of hands healing technique thousands of years old, it is thought to have originated as a Tibetan Buddhist practice that was rediscovered in the late 1800's by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist. It is a very simple yet a powerful healing technique. 
Reiki gently works on the whole person to balance energy in the body, mind, and spirit. In this way it boosts the body’s own innate healing abilities. Reiki brings the body and mind into an even balance and works on all levels: the physical, spiritual, emotional and soul level. Reiki encourages self-healing, strengthens body and soul, opens blocks, balances chakras, rebuilds harmony and flows in unlimited quantity. It is a channelled healing, therefore the Reiki practitioner's energies are never depleted. Additionally, because the healing Reiki energy is flowing through the practitioner during a treatment, both client and practitioner receive the benefits. For this reason, giving a treatment always increases one's energy and leaves one surrounded with loving feelings of well-being. Possible benefits may include stress reduction, pain relief, accelerated healing of illnesses and injuries, relaxation, mental empowerment, assistance in coping with addictions, and helping the body deal with chronic illness. Your own body directs the energy to where it is most needed. 

SEICHIM HEALING
Seichim (pronounced say-kim), is the Reiki system as used in Ancient Egypt. It is a slightly different energy type which is available to me while healing. This alternate energy type is selected automatically when appropriate during the healing session. However, I can consciously select it using my Intent if my intuition suggests it.

The Reiki energy knows where to go and what to do. I do not direct the energy. It is simply intent which causes the Reiki energy to flow and intent which directs it.

I use a treatment protocol traditionally taught to Reiki practitioners which involves a series of hand positions as well as my intuition.
These positions are well spaced along your body and together they provide good coverage of your entire body. 
The energy does go where it is most needed. 
By covering all parts of your body evenly you will, by default, get the best treatment possible.

I have to also direct the healing to body parts most consider to be private.
My hands can be placed on top of your hands, with the energy being beamed through you hands. I may also hold my hands above the areas in question so there is no touching and beam the energy from a slight distance trusting that the energy will flow into the areas not directly treated.
